Idido
This new, berry-forward, naturally processed coffee comes from a number of smallholder farmers in the town of Idido, within the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia. Firelight worked with Keffa Coffee to source this lot from the Memehere Demessie mill, where coffees are fairly purchased from farmers, and then sorted and beautifully processed to uncover all of the fruity, creamy flavors in this spectacular coffee.
With a strong, creamy strawberry taste mingled with light citrus flavors, this classic, naturally processed Yirgacheffee coffee hits all the right notes. We really like using filter methods to brew this coffee, whether in a drip pot, pourover, or Aeropress, to get full effect of the clean, fruity flavors of this coffee. Using a French Press will highlight some nice chocolate notes with deep cherry flavors, while a well-tuned espresso will create an incredibly interesting and unique fruity drink highlighting berry and citrus tastes.
